Bone & Ivory Guitar Strap Buttons
Guitar strap buttons of bone or ivory for folks who want a totally tricked out guitar. Our bone and ivory guitar strap buttons are made here in the USA and are of very high quality. We make these in bone, fossil mammoth ivory (FMI) and pre-ban elephant ivory (PBE). Pre-ban ivory is for US customers only - no exceptions. We do not list the fossil mammoth ivory one's but ask that you reference the pre-ban ivory listings for image and prices as they are the same price, size and geometry. The FMI is darker in color than PBE and is usually the color of an almond colored light switch. If you want these in FMI please email us through our contact page and we will let you know if we have them in stock with the inlay type you desire.
These are highly polished pieces and are available with a black dot, abalone dot or faux tortoise dot inlay. The dots are 4 mm in diameter and look proportional and in keeping with the 3 mm dots in the smaller diameter bridge pins. Note that all strap buttons have an inlay - they cannot be plain head because of the way in which they are constructed.
Please note these bone and ivory guitar strap buttons are Made in USA by the same machinist utilizing the same precision equipment (He is a fastidious American craftsman who enjoys making great pins and strap buttons!) The geometry and high quality workmanship is the same on the bone parts as on the ivory parts. It is important on guitar bridge pins to get away from plastic and wood and get to bone or ivory. On bridge pins, ivory and bone render a near identical sound and either is a significant improvement over plastic or wood. Because of this fact that the materials are acoustically nearly identical and that all our pins are machined to the same high standards we recommend the bone over the ivory as it is basically one third the price. Ivory has a beauty all its own and ideal for the ultimate in guitar pin beauty for that very special guitar.
