Pen Blanks of Mammoth, Ivory & Horn
Our pen blanks come in three materials for folks who are making high quality pens from these unusual and exotic materials:
1) Horn - Black water buffalo horn.
2) PBE - Pre-ban elephant ivory
3) Ancient mammoth ivory (FMI - Fossil Mammoth Ivory)
The horn blanks are round. The PBE blanks are round and arrive with a clear enamel coating that keeps the material safe from cracking in cold and hot weather shipping. The Mammoth ivory arrives as square stock and is also sealed with a clear enamel coating.
These rods are solid. We do not provide bored blanks. Please see our "Material Working Tips " page for helpful hints on turning and polishing techniques.
